Along 2017 I have been developing a set of typefaces for Press called Ashler. It began initially as a corporate font for our new studio but ended up as a complex system for editorial purposes and a first practical approach to my thesis in Reading: the design of optical styles with a slightly different perspective than just adjust contrast and proportions.

I showed the work to the amazing Javier Errea from Errea Com while it was in development and he requested it for the redesign of "La Cuarta", a newspaper from Chile. This project represents my baptism as a type designer for press and I must admit that I am very proud of the work of Errea Com.

If everything goes well, Ashler will be available in a near future as a retail typeface.
